El pasado mes de mayo se celebró el Campeonato Nacional del Istmo 2011, el mayor torneo de golf aficionado de la República de Panamá y donde, se coronó como Campeón Nacional Amateur, el joven Marcos Cabarcos. Esta competencia tiene cuatro días de duración (2 fines de semana) y se juega en cuatro campos de golf diferentes (Royal Decameron Golf Beach Resort & Villas, Coronado Golf and Beach Resort, Summit Golf Club, Club de Golf de Panamá), bajo la modalidad ‘stroke play’.

 

Este campeonato, es organizado por la Asociación de Golf de Panama y busca medir jugadores de distintos niveles de juego, dentro de sus respectivas categorías, a fin de determinar cual es el mejor.

Luego de concluida la competencia el domingo 15 de mayo, se llevo a cabo la ceremonia de clausura en el salón principal del Club de Golf de Panama, donde se premió a los ganadores y se agradeció a los patrocinadores por el apoyo dado al evento.
